In the digital era, the role of Public Relations is increasing, not only running campaign roles and responding to issues, but also becoming more proactive. Public relations as a part of an organization can, and must act as revenue stream and expand the scope of the institution. CNN Indonesia implemented strategic planning steps from Ronald D. Smith at the CNN Indonesia Meet Up! event. This is an effort of CNN Indonesia in its short term strategy, which is to get income and image, and in long term strategy to strengthen its position as the main news entity.
