Abstract

The Ministry of Communication and Informatics has Public Relations officer and Management who supporting the performance of the secretary general. One of their responsibilities is developing and implementing strategic planning for Public Relations. This article aim is to evaluate the strategic planning for Public Relations in the Ministry of Communication and Informatics. The reference used in this article is the strategic planning phase for Public Relations which includes formative research, tactics, and evaluative research. With this reference, the author compiled a digital communication program in the form of a “Kominfo Sehat” campaign with the hastag #tantangankominfosehat that can support the national program in health sector. The result of this evaluation suggest that Public Relations officer need to involve themselves in strategic management planning with goals and objectives that support the organization’s goals and objectives. This is to increase the value of personnel and the Public Relations Profession, especially in government institution. Public Reach and response to public are very necessary through two-way communication, involving social media, digital channels. Public Relations Officer also need to respond quickly, whenever needed, and mastering in content development.
